The mouth of the river Ombla is located at the entrance to Dubrovnik, and there is a magnificent hanging bridge above it. The Ombla is known as the smallest river in Dubrovnik and one of the shortest rivers in the world. One of its distinctive features is that is a freshwater river for a mere thirty metres, while the rest is saltwater and, as the locals like to put it, has all the characteristics of the sea.
