The old town of Rab is distinguished by its four bell towers. The tallest and most attractive among them is the Romanesque campanile located a dozen metres from Rab Cathedral. It is 26 metres tall and is an architectural masterpiece. The original four-sided dome was destroyed by lightning in the 15th century, after which the present six-sided pyramid was constructed.
