More details
- Enter this small town through the preserved gate on which you will see the coat of arms of the Contarini family, which ruled the town for 3 centuries. Giustignano Contarini acquired the Završje estate in 1530 at an auction held in Venice and his descendants kept it up to the 19th century.
- Climb the paved street to the 11th century medieval town castle that served as the palace of the aristocratic Contarini family.
- Next to the castle you will find the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Holy Rosary and the bell tower, built in the 16th century. This small church once housed a magnificent chalice with glazed medallions now kept in Paris' Louvre Museum.
- Make your way towards the valley and just before the preserved town gate you will find a small church built in 1556 and dedicated to St Roch.
- Završje and the surrounding countryside is known for its excellent tourist farms that are a not-to-be-missed part of this experience with their tasty local specialities based on wild game and local pastas, served for you by the friendly hosts.
