    Kaštelir

  • Quick Info

    Route difficulty: easy

    Length of route: 18. 1km

From the heart of Kaštelir, 11 km northeast of Poreč, your ride will begin next to the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian with its three naves and bell tower, built in 1908. This route will take you on an easy ride through forests, vineyards and olive groves. Most of the time you will be riding on macadam roads and forest trails, but there will also be short asphalt sections. After riding through the narrow streets of Kaštelir, head on towards the village of Labinci, where you can take some time to see the interesting churches. After a brief ride towards Poreč, another treat is waiting for you – the Baredine karst cave, with a maximum depth of 132 m. The cave is lit with spot lighting so that you might fully enjoy the beauty of this underground world, which has been shaped patiently for centuries by water. Before passing through the villages of Devići and Diklići and back to Kaštelir, make sure to sample a few Istrian specialties in one of the numerous tourist farms in this fertile region.
