Local Experience

We will take you to a family distillery near Pazin where you will get to taste flavourful fruit brandies and liqueurs in a stylish tasting room. The host will tell you all about the history of the distillery, the production and distillation process and the products. Depending on the selected package, Basic, Platter or Premium, you will try top-notch distillates paired with homemade cold cuts and desserts from the Pazin area. Experience Istrian tradition captured within the Spirit of Istria!

Itinerary

1. BASIC tasting
Tasting of 5 different fruit brandies and liqueurs (Komovica Malvazije – Malvasia grape pomace brandy, Travarica – herbal brandy, Biska – herbal brandy, Orahovac – walnut brandy, Teranino) with Istrian desserts.

 

2. PLATTER tasting
Tasting of 5 different fruit brandies and liqueurs (Komovica Muscat, Travarica, Olive, Teranino, Crni Trn cocktail) with Istrian prosciutto, “boškarin” (Istrian ox) salami, cheese, olive oil and Istrian desserts.
Each guest receives a gift of Istrian products.

 

3. PREMIUM tasting
Tasting of 4 different fruit brandies and liqueurs (Komovica Muscat – Muscat grape pomace brandy, Travarica, Biska, Orahovac, Teranino) with Istrian prosciutto, “boškarin” (Istrian ox) salami, cheese, olive oil and Istrian desserts.

You can taste the liqueurs and distillates that are made at the family distillery, which has been operational since 1921, as well as authentic Istrian biscuits “cukerančić” and “breskvice”.
Premium tasting includes a complimentary package of Istrian products.

 

Reservation up to 24 hours in advance is required.

The price is per person.

There is a possibility of transfer to the location.

 

In the period of February - May and October - December, sales are possible upon request, in agreement with the experience organizer.

What happens after I get the voucher

Prepare a printed or electronic version of the voucher to present to the experience organiser upon request.

Cancellation terms

In case of booking cancellation:

  • more than 24 hours before the booked date, no fee is charged.
  • between 24 to 12 hours before the booked date 50% of the total amount is charged.
  • within 12 hours before the booked date 100% of the total amount is charged.
  • in case of no show, 100% of the entire amount will be charged.
